Abstract

The study was conducted to determine the appropriate amount of seeds to sow for Ngu Sa Huynh sticky rice variety in Quang Ngai province. The experiment included 5 treatments corresponding to 5 seed amounts (60, 80, 100, 120 and 140 kg/ha, of which 100 kg/ha was the control) arranged in a randomized complete block design method (RCBD), three replications in the Fall season of 2022 and in the Winter-Spring season of 2022-2023. The results have determined that the amount of seed sown at 120 kg/ha gave the highest yield and profit, the yield reaches 3.41 tons/ha and profit reaches 29.5 million VND/ha (increase of 2.91 million VND/ha compared to the control) in the Fall season of 2022, the yield reaches 4.15 tons/ha and profit reaches 44.9 million VND/ha (increase of 1.09 million VND/ha compared to the control) in the Winter - Spring season of 2022-2023. The amount of CO2 absorbed by Ngu Sa Huynh sticky rice variety in the Fall season of 2022 is 13.87-15.17 tons CO2/ha and in the Winter - Spring season of 2022 - 2023 is 15.37 - 17.36 tons CO2/ha.
