Đa dạng thành phần loài cá ở sông A Sáp thuộc A Lưới, thành phố Huế

Abstract

Diversity of fish species in A Sap river in A Luoi province, Hue city was investigated from July to December 2024.  In order to to identify fish species originating in A Sap river, fish samples were collected from fishermen at 6 different communes, 5 stalls of seafood stalls at A Luoi market, 2 stalls of seafood at Bot Do market  and 5 restaurants in A Luoi town. Fish identification was performed according to the Dichotomous Classification System of Nguyen Van Hao (2005), Nguyen Van Hao and Ho Sy Van (2001); fishbase website (2019). The results determined that, sixty-one of fish species in the A Sap River were found and identified, in which 19 species of fish have high economic value and 13 species are precious, rare and endemic fish. Of these 13 species, there are 4 endemic fish species and 9 rare and precious fish species (2 species are both rare and precious). According to the IUCN Red Book (2019), there are 9 rare and precious fish species including: 1 critically endangered species (CR), 1 endangered species (EN), 5 vulnerable species (VU) and 2 near-threatened species (NT). The results of this study  are important data  for conservation, artificial breeding and development of farming of rare, endemic and economically valuable fish species in the A Sap River.
