Abstract

Pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo L.) is a vegetable with high nutritional and economic value, widely grown in many localities. The experiment was conducted in the Spring - Summer 2022 in Hue city, Thua Thien Hue province to evaluate the growth, development, and yield of 5 pumpkin varieties to select 1 - 2 potential varieties adapted to the local growth condition. The single factor experiment arranged in RCBD with 3 replications, 5 treatments corresponding to 5 varieties, GNO3; Gold Star 998; Super Gold Star 999; Super Star 350 và Super Dream NP - 17. The result showed that the varieties have a growing season ranged from 100 days to 110 days. GNO3 and Super Dream NP17 varieties can grow quickly and develop well. However, Gold Star 998 and Super Gold Star 999 varieties were less susceptible to infection. Actual yield ranges from 21,58 to 101,73 tonne. ha-1. While, Super Star 350 has the highest yield with 101,73 tonne. ha-1, Gold Star 998 has the lowest one (21,58 tonne. ha-1).
